This type is listed in the SCWC for 1929-37. It is common. It is part of the inaugural series of Vatican coinage issued after the Concordat of 1929 between Mussolini and Pius IX which restored papal sovereignty over the Vatican City. We follow the SCWC in calling this a "lira" even tho the denomination is clearly spelled "lire" on the coin.
