This specimen was lot 77 in Aureo y Calicó sale 448 (Barcelona, March 2025), where it sold for 301 € (about US$393 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "Alfons IV (1416-1458). Valencia. Ral. Obv.: Bust facing. +ALFONSUS:DEI:GRA:REX:ARAGO. Rev.: Arms of Valencia. +VALENCIE:MAIORICARUM:SAR. Very beautiful. Rare in this condition.EBC [extremely fine]." King Alfons is listed as Alfonso in Cayón, who also struck a florin, half florin, timbre and half real. Wikipedia comments,
"Alfonso the Magnanimous (Alfons el Magnànim in Catalan) (1396 – 27 June 1458) was King of Aragon and King of Sicily (as Alfons V) and the ruler of the Crown of Aragon from 1416 and King of Naples (as Alfons I) from 1442 until his death."
