Unterwalden 1729 kreuzer KM-7
This specimen was lot 5402 in Sincona Auction 102 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 1,000 CHF (about US$1,507 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ. Obwalden. Kreuzer 1729, Sarnen. Variante mit ovalem Wappen in Kartusche. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. Fast vorzüglich. (Switzerland, half canton of Obwalden, kreuzer of 1729, Sarnen mint, variety with oval arms in cartouche. Rare in this condition, About Extremely Fine.)"
Other kreuzer for 1729 include KM 21 (eagle/value and date) and KM 22 (arms/cross); all are scarce. This type was also struck in 1726.
