This quarter was issued after the termination of the America the Beautiful program and before the American Women program commenced in 2022. George and his army crossed the Delaware on December 25, 1776, and attacked and defeated the Hessians the next day. This was the last quarter to use the James Flanagan bust of Washington.

Recorded mintage: 791,400,000 at Denver plus 681,600,000 at Philadelphia plus proofs (clad and silver) from San Francisco.

Specification: 5.67 g, copper-nickel clad copper, 24.3 mm diameter, reeded edge.
