The Bugs Bunny variety is the result of a die clash which makes Franklin appear as if he has buck teeth. These "teeth" are a clash mark from the eagle's wings. This variety appears on various dates in the Franklin series and the premium depends on the rarity of that date. There are two die pairs known for 1949.
Known dates are as follows: 1948, 1949, 1950, 1951, 1952, 1952-D, 1953, 1953-D, 1953-S, 1954, 1954-D, 1954-S, 1955, 1956, 1957, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962, and 1963.
Recorded mintage: 5,614,000 (all varieties).
Specification: 12.50 g, 0.900 fine silver, 30.6 mm diameter.
