This issue is a better date. This "with arrows" variety was struck 1873-74. Arrows were added to the date 1873-74 to indicate a slight change to the weight, from 6.22 g to 6.25 g. The San Francisco mint struck seated quarters 1855-78 and 1888-91.
Recorded mintage: 392,000.
Specification: 6.25 g, 0.900 fine silver, .180 troy oz ASW, reeded edge, designed by Christian Gobrecht.
