This type, struck 1860-73 in moderate quantities, is available in all grades. The issues of 1860-62 were large, followed by low mintage years of 1863-69, then common issues resumed in 1870 and continued for the remainder of the decade. This is a common date.

Specification: 2.49 g, 0.900 fine silver, .072 troy oz ASW, 17.9 mm diameter, reeded edge, designed by Robert Hughes and modified by James Longacre.
