Sincona sale 97, lot 1648

This specimen was lot 1648 in SINCONA Auction 97 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 1,600 CHF (about US$2,321 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"ITALIEN Florenz, Ferdinando II. de Medici, 1621-1670. Zecchino o. J., Firenze. Selten. NGC MS62. Überdurchschnittliche Erhaltung. Das durch NGC höchstbewertete Exemplar. (Italy, grand duchy of Tuscany, Ferdinando de Medici, 1621-70, undated zecchino, Florenze mint. Rare, Extraordinary condition, Finest certified by NGC.)"

This rare type also comes dated 1655. It is listed in the SCWC as a florino.
