This and the accompanying quarter crown (KM 51) seem to be the only coinage struck for circulation in the islands, a British colony at the southeast end of the Bahamian archipelago.

Recorded mintage: unknown but not rare.

Specification: 11.35 g, copper-nickel, 30.65 mm diameter.
