The first specimen was lot 31161 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $2,160. The catalog description[1] noted, "Ottoman Empire. Jem Sultan ibn Muhammad II silver AkΣe AH 886 (1481) VF30 ANACS, Bursa mint (in Turkey). A very well-struck example for this small and exceedingly rare one-year pretender silver issue, only slightly off-center and with small traces of die rust that add a peculiar allure. Ex. Dr. Hans Wilski Collection." The second specimen was lot 1831 in Steve Album Auction 54 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2026), where it sold for $288. The catalog description[2] noted, "OTTOMAN EMPIRE: Mehmet II, 1451-1481, AR akçe, Kostantiniye, AH886, almost perfectly centered strike, choice VF, ex Kenneth A. Bovenkamp Collection. Akçes dated 886 were primarily struck between the death of Mehmet II and the confirmation of Bayezit II."
