This specimen was lot 76874 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $720. The catalog description[1] noted, "TURKEY. Ottoman Empire. 25 Kurush, AH 1327 Year 5 (1913). Istanbul (Islambol) Mint. Mehmed V. NGC MS-65+. "Reshat" to the right on obverse." This type was struck in moderate numbers for years 1 thru 6. Most bear signs of use in jewelry. This was the second smallest gold denomination. This denomination was also struck in "monnaie de luxe" format in 1913 (KM 763).
