This specimen was lot 1992 in Goldberg sale 122 (Los Angeles, June 2021), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "Turkey. 25 Kurush, AH1277//3. Abdul Aziz, 1861-1876. NGC graded About Uncirculated Detail (Damaged)." This type was struck in moderate numbers during regnal years 1-15. They were very popular for jewelry and most survivors today are damaged thereby.
