This specimen was lot 195 in Schulman auction 385 (Amsterdam, July 2025), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Turkey - 20 Kurush AH1277//3 (1863 AD), Silver, ABDULAZIZ 1861-1874 Qustantiniyye mint. Tughra, regnal year below. Rev. text, mint and date. Very fine +." As part of the Tanzimat reform of the 1840's, the coinage was modernized (milled instead of hammered) and the constant debasements ceased. This type was struck years 1-15 in moderate numbers.

Recorded mintage: 257,000, a better date.

Specification: 24.05 g, 0.833 fine silver, this specimen 23.67 g.
