This specimen was lot 376 in Stephen Album sale 47 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2023), where it sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "TURKEY: Mahmud II, 1808-1839, AV zeri mahmub, Kostantiniye, AH1223 year 1, lustrous Unc." This type was struck years 1, 2 and 5 and is not expensive. Most are holed, perhaps having been removed from the costumes of belly dancers.
