This specimen was lot 2375 in Stephen Album sale 39 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2021), where it sold for $72. The catalog description[1] noted, "TURKEY: Abdul Hamid I, 1774-1789, AR 2 zolota, Kostantiniye, AH1187 year 8, one quadrant weak and porous from lack of striking pressure, otherwise very nice with light tone, Choice EF." This type was struck years 8-13. Two zolota = 60 para = 1½ kurush.

Specification: billon, 26.0-27.2 g; this specimen 27.26 g.
