This specimen was lot 489 in Stephen Album sale 30 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2018), where it sold for $111.63. The catalog description[1] noted, "TURKEY: Abdulhamid II, 1876-1909, AV 25 kuruş, Kostantiniye, AH1293 year 30, EF." This type is listed for years 7 thru 34 and is the most common gold coin of the reign. The equivalent monnaie de luxe is less common but not rare.

Recorded mintage: 156,280 plus 27,964 of the monnaie de luxe (Fr-48).

Specifications: 1.80 g, 0.917 fine gold, this specimen 1.81 g.
