This specimen was lot 2395 in Sincona sale 59 (Zürich, October 2019), where it sold for 700 CHF (about US$848 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"OSMANISCHES REICH | ´Abd al-Hamid Khan II, 1293-1327 H./1876-1909 (m. 1918) AD, 250 Kurush 1293 H./Jahr 28, Qustantînîya. Tughra neben monogrammiertem al-ghâzî auf Lorbeerzweigen und Pfeilköchern, Münzstättenangabe und Datum des Regierungsanfangs. Sehr schön. Kleine Henkelspur. (Turkey, Abdul Hamid II, 1876-1909, gold 250 kurush of AH 1293, year 28, Constantinople mint. Very fine, Tiny mount mark.)"
This type, with "el-Ghazi" added to the sultan's titles, was struck years 11-34 in limited numbers.
