This specimen was lot 47643 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Oklahoma City, OK, August 2025), where it sold for $3,720. The catalog description[1] noted, "TURKEY. 500 Kurush, "1923" Year 81 (2004). Istanbul Mint. PCGS MS-66." This type was struck in limited quantities in 1941 and 1950-2010. A 500 kuruş monnaie de luxe (Fr-208) also exists. Despite the small mintage, this coin trades for its bullion value.
