Trier during the Weimar Republic

In 1919, the town of Trier in the Rhineland issued ten and fifty pfennig notgeld featuring the Roman ruins located there. They superseded an undated issue featuring the city arms. Specimen strikes in silver are known.

Recorded mintage: 800,000.
