This specimen was lot 29801 in Heritage sale 3042 (Long Beach, September 2015), where it sold for $1,586.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "Trier - Archbishopric. Werner von Falkenstein (1388-1418) Goldgulden 1394-96 MS63 NGC, Trier mint. WЄRnЄRVS ΛRChIЄPVIS | PS TRЄVЄ, Arms of Trier-Minzenberg in hexalobe / • MOnЄTΛ | TRЄVЄИ, St. Peter seated on Gothic throne with the arms of Minzenberg at his feet. Well-struck on a broad flan with ample remaining mint luster and few noteworthy surface marks." Friedberg does not attempt to date this coin any closer than Werner's reign (1388-1418).
