This specimen was lot 2721 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it sold for $120. The catalog description[1] noted, "TRAVANCORE: Rama Varma III, 1829-1847, AE cash, ND (1830-39), elaborate design // seated deity, cross-legged, bold XF, R." Numista states that Lakshmi is the goddess mostly likely depicted here. This type has a modest catalog value, belied by the price realized.
