This specimen was lot 2394 in Stephen Album sale 43 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2022), where it sold for $216. The catalog description[1] noted, "TOGO: French Mandate, 2 francs, 1948, a fantastic quality example! PCGS graded MS66, ex Joe Sedillot Collection." This type accompanied an aluminum one franc also struck in 1948. It is actually fairly scarce.
Recorded mintage: 5,000,000.
Specification: 2.1 g, aluminum, 27 mm diameter, plain edge.
