Sincona sale 43, lot 3794

This specimen was lot 3794 in Sincona sale 43 (Zürich, October 2017), where it sold for 1,100 CHF (about US$1,313 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"THAILAND, Bhumiphol (Rama IX), 1946-2015 800 Baht 1971. 25. Regierungsjubiläum. FDC. (kingdom of Thailand, Rama IX, 1946-2015, eight hundred baht of 1971, on the king's 25th anniversary of his reign. Uncirculated.)"

This commemorative, dated BE 2514 in the local calendar, was accompanied by a 400 baht (KM Y93).

Recorded mintage: 22,245.

Specification: 20 g, 0.900 fine gold, 30 mm diameter, this specimen 20.00 g.
