Steve Album Auction 53, lot 1250

This specimen was lot 1250 in Steve Album Auction 53 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2025), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "THAILAND: Rama VI, 1910-1925, AR 2 salung (1/2 baht), BE2458 (1915), one year type, a wonderful lustrous example! PCGS graded MS64." This type was struck in 1915 only but is not expensive. The date is shown as "๒๔๕๘" to the right of the elephant god on the reverse. The subsequent issue (KM Y44a) was debased to 0.650 fine silver.

Recorded mintage: 2,740,000.

Specification: 7.50 g, 0.800 fine silver, 25.3 mm diameter.
