This type was struck at the Bern mint 1968-82. The design succeeded a silver issue (KM 23) of 1874-1967. In 1983, the obverse was revised to show 23 stars when the canton of Jura was added.

Recorded mintage: 44,920,000 plus 20,000,000 from the London mint without mintmark.

Specification: 2.2 g, copper nickel, 18.2 mm diameter.
