Sincona sale 101, lot 4481

This specimen was lot 4481 in Sincona Auction 101 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 250 CHF (about US$377 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "SCHWEIZ Eidgenossenschaft, 10 Rappen 1931 B, Bern. Äusserst seltene Erhaltung, Extremely rare condition. PCGS MS68." This type has been struck at the Bern mint since 1879. Production was interrupted during the two world wars. This is a common date but still worth more than recent issues. Prior to confederation in 1850, each Swiss canton issued its own coins. It was converted to pure nickel for 1932-39.

Recorded mintage: 2,244,000.

Specification: 3 g, copper-nickel, 19.1 mm diameter, plain edge.
