The first specimen was lot 1569 in Stephen Album sale 30 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2018), where it sold for $70.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWITZERLAND: Confederation, AR franc, 1920-B, NGC graded MS66." This type was struck at the Bern mint 1874-1967. The design is still in use today tho the coin is now copper-nickel. This specimen is struck to the standard of the French franc of 1866-1920. This date is common. Prior to confederation in 1850, each Swiss canton issued its own coins.

Recorded mintage: 3,300,000 plus specimens.

Specification: 5 g, 0.835 fine silver, 23.2 mm diameter, reeded edge.
