This specimen was lot 75717 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2022), where it sold for $480. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWITZERLAND. 20 Francs, 1898-B. Bern Mint. NGC MS-65. Bright golden surfaces are pale and satiny throughout, seldom interrupted by even miniscule marks or nicks. A delightful Gem that would do well in a date set or could proudly represent the issue in a specialist's type collection." This type was struck 1897-1935 in large numbers and most dates are readily available today for their bullion value.

Recorded mintage: 400,000.

Specification: 6.45 g, 0.900 fine gold, .186 troy oz AGW.
