Switzerland 1893-B 20 rappen
This specimen was part of lot 4439 in Sincona Auction 101 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 150 CHF (about US$226 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Eidgenossenschaft, 20 Rappen 1883, 1884 & 1893, Bern. Lot von 3 Stück. Divo 86, 91, 131. HMZ 2-1208-b, c, g. FDC. (confederation of Switzerland, twenty rappen of 1883, 1884 and 1894, Bern mint. Mint State, three pieces.)"
This type was struck 1881-87, 1891-1903, 1906-13, 1919-38. It was converted from nickel to copper-nickel in 1939. The design was used until 2018.
Recorded mintage: 1,000,000, a fairly common date.
