This specimen was lot 32390 in Heritage sale 3067 (Long Beach, September 2018), where it sold for $1,560. The catalog description[1] noted, "Switzerland: Confederation Franc 1876-B MS66 PCGS, Bern mint. The highest grade level for this popular denomination. A razor-sharp coin whose cartwheel luster has developed a sublime toning, beautiful rings of green-gold, red and intense murky cobalt gracing both surfaces. An unbeatable Franc in its eye appeal and technical grade. From the Feeling Good Collection." This is a better date but not rare. Prior to confederation in 1850, each Swiss canton issued its own coins.
