This specimen was lot 31840 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $141. The catalog description[1] noted, "Oscar II 5 Ore 1889 Large Letters, MS63 Brown NGC. Slightly larger letters in the legend. Nicely toned with glossy surfaces, one carbon spot on the reverse." This type was struck 1888-1905; this date is fairly common for the type but much scarcer than the one or two öre. The small legend variety is scarce for 1889.

Recorded mintage: 220,000 (including KM 736).

Specification: 8 g, bronze, 27 mm diameter.
