This specimen was part of lot 50286 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $494. The catalog description[2] noted, "SWEDEN. 20 Kronor, 1889. NGC MS-65." This type was struck in limited numbers 1877-79 but the release of the hoard of the Bank of Sweden in the late nineties made this type common in all grades.
Recorded mintage: 202,000.
Specification: 8.96 g, 0.900 fine gold, .259 troy oz AGW.
