Sincona sale 77, lot 3090

This specimen was lot 3090 in Sincona sale 77 (Zürich, May 2022), where it sold for 120 CHF (about US$146 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SWEDEN. Oscar I. 1844-1859. 1/6 Skilling 1849, Stockholm. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. NGC MS66 BN. (kingdom of Sweden, Oscar I, 1844-59, 1/6 skilling of 1849, Stockholm mint. Uncirculated, Rare in this condition.)"

This type was struck 1844-55 and is common in all grades. It was terminated in the reform of 1855.

Recorded mintage: 537,000.

Specification: 1.40 g, copper, 16.1 mm diameter.
