This specimen was lot 11148 in Stack's Bowers June 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Copenhagen, June 2026), where it sold for €69 (about US$80). The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. 2 Skilling Banco, 1839. Stockholm Mint. Karl XIV Johan. NGC AU-53 Brown. Example with a deep brown color and encrustations around the devices. From the L.E. Bruun Collection." In the reform of 1830, the sixth and third riksdalers were dropped for eighth, quarter and half riksdalers. The skilling, formerly 1/48 riksdaler, became 1/128 riksdaler. The copper coinage included two, one, 2/3, 1/3 and 1/6 skilling pieces. This type of 1835-43 is not rare.
