This specimen was lot 1422 in Stephen Album sale 30 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2018), where it sold for $176.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN: Gustav III, 1771-1792, AR 1/3 riksdaler, 1784, initials OL, some hairlines, nice luster, AU, Ex Dr. John Lund Collection." This denomination was introduced in 1776 to replace the two mark last minted in 1754. It must have been a success, as this type was struck 1778-89 in large numbers and is common today.
