This specimen was lot 31785 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $470. The catalog description[1] noted, "Adolf Frederick silver Ore 1753-HM, MS64 NGC. A choice lustrous example with bold features and silvery gray patina. Highly attractive and elusive in this grade." This specimen was offered again as lot 49432 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2026), where it sold for $432. These billon one öre pieces were struck in Sweden until 1761 along with copper one öre coins (KM 460) which were produced until 1778. This type is noted for 1753-61 and is common in low grade.
