This specimen was lot 11439 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €168 (about US$175). The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. 1/2 Öre, ND (1853-1854). Stockholm Mint. Oscar I. NGC MS-62 Brown. Copper Pattern From the L. E. Bruun Collection." This is one of several patterns (KM Pn73, Pn74, Pn75, Pn76) struck while mint authorities studied yet another coinage reform which was eventually implemented in 1855. One öre patterns (KM Pn69, Pn70, Pn77 and Pn78) and two öre patterns (KM Pn71, Pn72, Pn79) also exist.
