This specimen was lot 11243 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €125 (about US$130). The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. 2 Öre, 1574. Stockholm Mint. Johan III. NGC VF Details--Environmental Damage. From the L. E. Bruun Collection. Ex. C. P. Humble Collection (Stockholm-1852) Lot # 346." This type was struck 1573-74 for Johan III, who succeeded Eric XIV in 1568 and had him murdered in 1577. It is supposed to be 0.500 fine silver but this example appears to be pure copper. One daler was four mark or 32 öre.
