This specimen was lot 11302 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €168 (about US$175). The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. Stralsund. 1/16 Taler, 1659-CS. Stralsund Mint. Karl X Gustav. NGC EF-45. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." This obscure type was struck 1646-48 and 1658-60. Stralsund, in the duchy of Pomerania, was a member of the Hanseatic League but fell under Swedish rule 1637-1815, when the port passed to Prussia.
