This specimen was lot 42323 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Oklahoma City, OK, August 2025), where it sold for $2,880. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Stolberg-Stolberg. Ducat, 1743-II G. Christoph Ludwig II & Friedrich Botho. PCGS AU-58. A sharp example, with pleasing luster, sharp details, and handsome alluring tone throughout. A tremendous example of the many collectors of elusive and strikingly designed Ducats." Christoph Ludwig was count of Stolberg-Stolberg and Friedrich Botho was count of Stolberg-Rossla, so this is a joint coinage. It was struck 1740-43, 1748, 1750 and 1757.
