This specimen was lot 3226 in Stephen Album sale 50 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $132. The catalog description[1] noted, "SPITZBERGEN (SVALBARD): Norwegian Territory, 15 kopeks, 1946, Russian Mining Company "Arktikugol" issue, one-year type, AU." This token was issued for use in the Russian concession on Spitzbergen (also known in Norwegian as Svalbard). Fifty, ten and twenty kopek tokens were also issued in 1946. It was struck in Leningrad.
