Sincona sale 80, lot 3269

This specimen was lot 3269 in Sincona sale 80 (Zürich, October 2022), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"SPAIN | Königreich, Juan Carlos I. 1975-2014. 200 Euro 2005, Madrid. Auf Frieden und Freiheit in Europa. Nur 4'000 Exemplare geprägt. Polierte Platte. Im Originaletui mit Zertifikat. (kingdom of Spain, Juan Carlos I, 1975-2014, two hundred euro of 2005, Madrid mint. On European peace and freedom. Only 4,000 pieces struck, Choice Proof, In original box with certificate.)"

We don't know the occasion for the release of this NCLT but we presume it marked the sixtieth anniversary of the end of World War Two.

Recorded mintage: 2,350 proofs.
