This specimen was lot 34791 in Heritage sale 3082 (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $780. The catalog description[1] noted, "Spain: Isabel II gold 100 Reales 1859 MS63+ NGC." This type was struck 1856-62 at Barcelona, Seville and Madrid. Numerous platinum counterfeits exist.

Recorded mintage: 315,034.

Specification: 22 mm diameter, 8.38 g, 0.900 fine gold, .242 troy oz ASW, reeded edge.
