This specimen was lot 1274 in Steve Album Auction 52 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2025), where it sold for $390. The catalog description[1] noted, "KOREA (SOUTH): Republic, AE 10 won, 1966, a wonderful lustrous mint state example! PCGS graded MS64." The South Korean regime struck the ten won in bronze 1966-70 and in brass after 1970. Despite the substantial mintage, it is surprisingly expensive.
Recorded mintage: 10,600,000.
Specification: 4.06 g, bronze, 22.86 mm diameter.
Catalog reference: KM-6.
