This specimen was lot 3548 in Sincona sale 70 (Zürich, May 2021), where it sold for 19,500 CHF (about US$25,881 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SWITZERLAND | Solothurn | Stadt und Kanton. 16 Franken (Duplone) 1813, Solothurn. Gekröntes, ovales Kantonswappen in einem Kranz. Unten die Jahreszahl. Rv. Stehender Krieger mit Schild, Hellebarde und Federhut. Im Abschnitt die Wertangabe. Sehr selten. Nur 150 Exemplare geprägt. NGC MS61. (Switzerland, canton of Solothurn, sixteen franken or duplone of 1813, Solothurn mint. Obverse: crowned oval arms of the canton in a wreath, date below; reverse: standing knight with shield, halbard and feathered hat, value below. Very rare. Only 150 pieces struck.)"
Most issues of this canton are rare with the exception of some billon five rappen (KM 78) and one batzen (KM 67). At this time, 400 rappen = 40 batzen = 4 franken = one thaler.
