Solothurn 1795 20 kreuzer
This specimen was part of lot 5466 in Sincona Auction 102 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 225 CHF (about US$339 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ. Solothurn. Stadt und Kanton. 10 Batzen 1787, Solothurn. 10 Batzen 1788. 20 Kreuzer 1795. Lot von 3 Stück. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Switzerland, canton of Solothurn, ten batzen of 1787 and 1788 and twenty kreuzer of 1795. Very Fine-Extremely Fine, three pieces.)"
This type was struck 1787, 1794-95. One thaler was forty batzen and one batzen was four kreuzer, making this coin one eighth of a thaler. The reverse motto, "CUNCTA PER DEUM", translates as, "United by God."
