This specimen was lot 4448 in Sincona sale 95 (Zürich, October 2024), where it sold for 100 CHF (about US$139 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Solothurn, Stadt und Kanton, Kreuzer 1574, Solothurn. Nur mit minderer Jahreszahl 74 bekannt. Selten. Sehr schön. (Switzerland, canton of Solothurn, kreuzer of 1574, Solothurn mint. Rare, Very Fine.)"
This type was struck 1557, 1560-74, 1579 and undated. Numista states that one guldiner was 68 kreuzer; however, we don't know if the Solothurn guldiner was equal to the thaler or five-sixths. Altho St. Ursus ("✠ SANCTVS + VRSVS + 74") is mentioned on the reverse, his portrait is absent.
Record mintage: unknown.
