This specimen was lot 3307 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it sold for $102. The catalog description[1] noted, "SLOVENIA: Republic, AR 500 korun, 2001, Third Millennium, triangular, mintage of only 4,000 pieces in proof, Choice Proof, S." This NCLT was struck at Kremnica for Slovakia, not Slovenia. It was demonetized in 2009 when Slovakia joined the euro. This design was also used on a trimetallic (platinum/gold/silver) 5000 korún (KM 58).
Recorded mintage: 13,000 plus 4,000 proofs.
Specifications: Reuleaux triangle, 31.10 g, 0.999 fine siver, 45 mm diameter, reeded edge.
