This specimen was lot 2719 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it sold for $84. The catalog description[1] noted, "SIRONJ: AR rupee, Sironj, AH1216 year 43, struck during the Pindan State period, 1798-1817, in the name of Shah Alam II, XF, R." Sironj is one of the Tonk states between Gwalior and Bhopal; at the time this coin was issued, it was a vassal of Indore. Numista comments, "From 1754 (AH1168/RY#1 of Alamgir II) until 1798 (AH1212/RY#40 of Shah Alam II) Sironj was held by Indore as a feudatory. This Rupee is listed under the reign of Shah Alam II...." The SCWC lists this type for AH 1172, 1178-1195, 1199-1200 but not AH 1216.
