This specimen was lot 2573 in Stephen Album sale 50 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $228. The catalog description[1] noted, "SIKH EMPIRE: AR rupee, Multan, VS1878, very small adhesion at the top of the reverse, bold strike, XF." This type was struck VS 1875-1880 at Multan. The Sikhs were crushed in AD 1849 (VS 1906) and their coinage ended.
